Sutton's branch of The National Autistic Society (NAS) is in the running to win a grant of up to £1,000 from Starbucks, which it will use to run activities for local families affected by autism. But the eventual winner is being decided by popular vote on social media and NAS Sutton is asking local people to help them win.

The winners of a competition to find the best amateur photographers in the Wandle Valley will be announced on 10th December, when the winning photos from more than 200 local entrants will go on display, at the Wandle Valley Regional Park Trust annual general meeting.
Sport England has awarded the Wandle Valley Regional Park Trust almost £132,000 to support its new Get Active Wandle Valley project. The project is a partnership initiative targeting deprived communities in the Wandle Valley in the London Boroughs of Wandsworth, Merton, Sutton and Croydon, with support from those local authorities and the National Trust.
Some Sutton organisations and charities may be able to benefit from the MOPAC Victims Fund which aims to maximise the potential of voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations to help ensure the continued and improved provision of vital services to support victims of crime across London and to help them cope and recover.
Grants of between £10,000 and £30,000 are available to individual organisations or partnerships of three or more organisations applying together can receive up to £80,000. Grants are available to cover any costs relating to work which helps victims of crime to cope and recover from their experience. This could include, but is not limited to: -Practical support -Emotional support -Advocacy support -Specialist support -Counselling -Restorative Justice The deadline for applications is on Friday 15th January 2016 by 5pm. The festivities kick off on Friday December 4 between 4pm and 9pm with the arrival of Father Christmas and switching on of the Christmas Lights by Theo the Magician.
