Everyone is welcome to pop into the Mobile Reassurance Unit, which will be parked up by the Christmas tree on Sutton High Street, on Friday 27th November and Friday 18th December from 10am onwards.
These events, organised by Sutton Housing Partnership, together with the Metropolitan Police Service and supported by Tazza Coffee, will give everyone the chance to have a friendly chat and be given advice on how to recognise and beat scams, guidance about personal safety and get really useful tips on how to keep warm during the chilly days and nights.
Emma Pearson, Community Development Officer at Sutton Housing partnership, says, “Unfortunately, in the lead up to Christmas, there is an increase in older people being victims of crime, falling ill due to cold weather and generally feeling isolated and lonely. We hope that these events will give us the opportunity to pass some valuable and important information to people who may be vulnerable or at risk”
