Officers from Beddington North attended the Sunday School class at St. Mary's Church recently and gave a talk on ‘Stranger Danger’. We also showed the children our personal safety equipment and joined them for finger printing and colouring.

Twenty Cub Scouts and several Leaders from 1st Cheam Scout Group have recently taken part in a Farm to Fork Trail at Tesco Sutton Extra. They have seen behind the scenes of Tesco Storage and freezing area, learnt which animals cheese comes from, been shown four different fish and completed fun challenges to find out where different fruit and vegetables are grown.
It is going to a "jam" packed season of events for the borough's cub scouts as they celebrate 100 years of cub scouting.
To start with a contingent of 34 Cubs & 12 Leaders from Sutton will be attending Cubjam 2016 a week long camp at Gilwell Park - the home of Scouting. In May the famous grounds will be turned into The Wild West and the borough's cubs will become Native American Indian children who will be on the Tombstone Sub camp in the SUNTOT Teepee. Sutton Council for the Voluntary Sector is holding a forum in Sutton to bring together the Black Minority Communities and those organisations working with these communities to explore how to influence decision making in the borough.

This is a specialist service for children and young people aged 8 to 25 who have caring responsibilities. They might be caring for a relative who is ill, physically disabled or elderly, or who has a mental health issue or substance misuse problem. Sutton Women's Centre is urging its supporters to sign an online petition which identifies difficulties with the transfer of pension rights for women.
"The 1995 Conservative Government’s Pension Act included plans to increase women’s SPA to 65, the same as men’s," said a statement on the Centre's website "Women Against State Pension Inequality (WASPI), agree with equalisation, but don’t agree with the unfair way the changes were implemented – with little/no personal notice (1995/2011 Pension Acts), faster than promised (2011 Pension Act), and no time to make alternative plans.
