The Living Wandle Landscape Partnership Scheme was formally launched at the Living Wandle Celebration in Morden Hall Park on 28-29 September 2013.
The Living Wandle Landscape Partnership Scheme is an ambitious five-year programme to revitalise the natural and historic features of the river – at a ceremony led by the Mayors or senior Councillors of Croydon, Merton, Sutton and Wandsworth.Along the course of the river are 12 sites of nature conservation as well as many cultural landmarks including the 12th-century Merton Priory, a number of former mills and associations with William Morris and Liberty Printing Works.
It is hoped that there will be an event at the end in the summer/autumn 2017 to show case all of the work that has taken place in the projects
