leader of the Council Councillor Ruth Dombey presented Teresa with her award which was given in recognition for her extensive voluntary work which spans over a decade.
As a volunteer mentor Teresa has provided more than 10 years extensive support to multiple children and young people with complex life circumstances, in addition to being a Befriender where she supports vulnerable adults. As well as her weekly volunteering roles
Teresa has participated in a number of fundraising activities, most recently abseiling ArcelorMittal Orbit in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Teresa said "I feel very proud to have received this award. I have always felt welcomed by our community but now I feel very much a part of it".
