The event is in partnership with businesses, voluntary and community sector organisations based in the borough is part of national customer services week and national get online week.
This event follows on from the successful Digital Tea Party organised by Age UK Sutton last month where approximately 100 senior citizens attended as part of the Take Part, Take Pride festival.
The Lets Get Digital event will give Sutton residents the chance to explore a wide range of digital programmes on offer and try out various digital devices from smartphones, tablets and laptops, as well as explore the benefits of being online - all with the help of our partner’s staff and volunteers.
Representatives from Age UK Sutton, SCILL, SCOLA, Sutton Vision and Barclay’s Digital Eagles will also be on hand to showcase their technology and devices, as well as Sutton Libraries, with digital books and audio books.
Councillor Colin Hall, Deputy Leader of Sutton Council said:
“Lets’ Get Digital promises to be a fantastic event; the Digital Tea Party was so well attended that it made perfect sense to host another digital workshop open to all residents, not just our senior citizens. Having the skills, experience and – importantly – the confidence to use the internet is something that can benefit everybody.”
