The fundraising dinner is to be held at Nightingales Restaurant, Carshalton College on Thursday, 6th November commencing at 7pm. Tickets are only £30 per person for a 5 course dinner, which includes a glass of wine. There will also be a raffle.
"As many are aware this year is the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World. We are conscious that many of those who returned from the First World War, needed much care and support from their families and friends – both physical and psychological – and at a time when voluntary sector, or indeed any other support, to their families barely existed," said Chair of the Trustees of Sutton Carers Centre.
"So linked to this First World War theme, our guest speaker is local historian Andrew Arnold, whose book on the Carshalton men who fought in the First World War, has just been published. He will be giving us individual stories to show the human face and cost of the War to our local community."
