The evening which is on Tuesday November 11 is at the Riverside Centre, Culvers Avenue.
It is the organisation's annual event for highlighting the work of Trustees and will be held after their annual meeting they will be holding. This will include an inspirational talk from our main speaker -Debra Allcock-Tyler, CEO of Directory of Social Change.
Organisations will have a chance to choose from one of three informative workshops:
Keeping Everything Shipshape - this session will look at how your board can recruit the right people, and make sure that everyone can work together effectively and focus on the right things.
Keeping Them on Board - this session will help you to recruit the trustees you need, and keep them, as well as looking at how to work with your board to plan for the future.
Staying Afloat - this session will look at helping you understand how a Statement of Financial Activities (SOFA) is drawn up and how this relates to the monthly management accounts, which look quite different.
The organisation will also be presenting the Trustee of the Year Award 2014.
There will then be a chance to network with other Trustees who are involved with voluntary and community groups in the Borough.
The event costs £10 per person and tickets can be booked through http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/on-board-2014-sutton-cvs-trustee-event-tickets-13523939467
