Community sports clubs and voluntary groups have until 3pm, Friday, 28 November 2014 to bid for funding to help make Sutton a healthier place.
If they provide or could provide sport and physical activities to benefit Sutton residents they can apply for grants of up to £1,000 from ProActive Sutton's Physical Activity & Sports Grants Fund.
Projects should aim to increase sustainable physical activity for at least one of these groups: school aged children, parents and carers of infants and early years children, people with disabilities, older people or men or women living sedentary lives in deprived areas of the borough.
ProActive Sutton's Physical Activity & Sports Grants Fund is an independent partnerships that promotes physical activity and sport across the borough.
Its £17,000 fund is financed by Sutton Council and administered by Sutton Centre for the Voluntary Sector.

Colin Stears, Chairman of the Adult Services & Health Committee, said:
“Community clubs are a vital part of Sutton’s sporting life. Whether it’s helping our young people achieve their sporting dreams or getting older people more active, they do an amazing amount of work. There’s still time to apply for funds and I hope lots of clubs do just that.”
