The ‘Stitches in Time’ Exhibit at the Honeywood Museum officially opens on the 5th of May and will run until 22 May. It features historic samplers, or embroidered material that consists of a variety of different stitches. Many of these samplers date back to the early 19th century and were made by young girls as part of their education.
Tom said:, “I was impressed with the range of needlework showcased at the ‘Stitches in Time’ exhibit. This exhibit provides a unique look into part of our country’s history through the lens of needleworkers. It is an example of the rich culture found in Sutton and I highly recommend residents take a look for themselves.”
