In July, The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and Big Lottery Fund announced £34.5 million of investment in 13 parks across the UK. One of the parks chosen, was Beddington Park. This week, the groups involved in the bid are celebrating their successful bid for the first stage of the improvement scheme.
Beddington Park and the Grange have an opportunity for a joint grant of £3,203,900. The Friends of the Park and Sutton Council will be working in partnership with local people, stakeholders and businesses to make Beddington Park more attractive and an even greater amenity for the borough.
Tom Brake, who attended the celebrations said, “The work that the Council and Friends of Beddington Park have put in to ensure our local parks, which are so valued, are improved and safe for all of us to enjoy is amazing."
