Everything from a talk about the start of World War One, monthly fun session for two to four years olds and a Frost Fair are just some of the interesting attractions planned.
It all starts with the "A War to End All Wars which is a commemorative exhibition that tells the story of the events that led Britain to war in 1914.

A thought provoking commemorative exhibition that tells the story of the events that led Britain to war in 1914.The principle players and places that featured in the stalemate of the Western Front and trench warfare are spotlighted. The attacks by sea and air on the home front in the early war years are recalled and the art of persuasive war posters is reproduced along with many fascinating artefacts from the conflict.

Discovering 19th century Carshalton through maps, plans and pictures
Old maps and plans can be interesting and useful tools to build up a picture of how the village looked and functioned during the 19th century. Local historian, Cheryl Bailey, presents a course of three 2-hour sessions which will explore the history of the village. Six different locations will be investigated together with explanations of what archives are available locally and how to access them.

The Great War Poetry Workshop
Led by professional poet Stephen Smith, with additional guidance from members of Sutton Writers Circle and using the artefacts in Honeywood Museum’s War to End All Wars exhibition as inspiration, this practical workshop will concentrate on creative methodologies, exploring perspective, form and figurative language, and will lead participants to the preliminary drafting of a poem.
Stephen Smith has worked as a University Lecturer, a Writer in Residence, a Creative Writing Tutor in Adult Education and as a lecturer in literature, history and philosophy for the WEA. His critically acclaimed collection, The Fabulous Relatives, published by Bloodaxe Books, won a major Eric Gregory Award.

Carshalton Frost Fair
The Friends of Honeywood Museum and Ecolocal are again organising a Frost Fair. This will be held at Carshalton Ponds, along Honeywood Walk, Festival Walk and the Memorial Gardens. There will be stalls, a hog roast and live music.
In Honeywood Museum there will be children's entertainments, including Santa’s Grotto.
