One of the borough's local area committees is meeting tonight to offer the opportunity for residents to get engaged in key topics which really affect them.
The Sutton South, Cheam and Belmont Local Committee, meets at 7pm at St Dunstan’s School, Anne Boleyn Walk, Cheam and it is open to the public.
Recent topics discussed at the Local Committee meetings have included the Sutton South Hello project, alterations to Belmont CPZ, the ‘Life Sciences Cluster’ planned at Sutton Hospital and the concerns of local people about speeding traffic on Malden Road.
Over the past year, the Sutton South, Cheam and Belmont Local Committee has funded a number of projects to help improve the local area, such as additional allotments in Belmont, improvements to Overton park, planting at Cheam Park and additional community noticeboards.
