Families enjoyed all kinds of activities including stalls, music, raffles, face-painting, mince pies, mulled wine and roasted chestnuts, a nativity scene and performances of Christmas songs by local schools. Streets in the area were blocked off so that revellers could enjoy the event without the intrusion of traffic.
Councillor Moira Butt who was a prime mover in organising the event was ever present with her deer-antler head dress.
Stall holders voted the event a great success, and one told Sutton Voice he had underestimated demand for his produce. Two local charities, the Diamond Riding School and Urban Youth Action, (formerly Sutton Ramps Events), were the worthy beneficiaries from the event.
