Sutton Council will work with residents to reduce the number of uncollected recycling bins and improve Sutton’s recycling rate.

Signpost Sutton is a joint venture from Sutton 1 in 4 Network and Sutton Mental Health Foundation and arranges a programme of open forums which explores a range of different themes and issues that impact on the lives and experience of Sutton residents who experience mental and emotional distress.

The petition states: We, the undersigned, are concerned about the proposed closure of the Cheam Village branch of Lloyds Bank. We believe it should stay open, particularly for those who have mobility problems and would find it difficult to get to their next closest branch. Conservative Councillor for Cheam, Holly Ramsey, and Conservative MP for Sutton, Cheam and Worcester Park, Paul Scully, will present this petition to Lloyds and encourage them to keep this branch open. Dr Brendon Hudson, Chair, Sutton CCG [Clinical Commissioning Group]) has described PPG's as: "Patient Participation Groups meet regularly to help improve services at their GP practice and to feed ideas into the planning of health services. Attending your local patient participation group means you can work with your doctor and practice manager to deal with health issues that affect you, other local people and your GP surgery." Who can join? All patients over the age of 16 registered with the practice How do I join the group? We welcome both patients who would just like to join a mailing list, and those who would like to come to the group's meetings. By joining the mailing list, you can contribute ideas to the group and to the practice. The group is independent of the practice, and has an elected chair, currently Jane Davies. The practice manager, Jonathan White attends and supports the group. Other members of the practice team attend from time to time. What does the group discuss? Our aim is to be a "critical friend" to the practice, and we have contributed ideas such as the appointments system, the garden area, online services including prescriptions, privacy at reception. We have two representatives on Sutton's Patient Reference Group who give feedback from our patients to the Clinical Group. We have recently had guests to our meetings, including Pam Howe from Healthwatch, a member of Shotfield Medical Practice's PPG and Lynn Evans who works at the practice.
