As well as the cake bake, a hamper was raffled off to one lucky member of staff, with all of the proceeds being donated to the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) - an organisation dedicated to providing aid to midwifery in impoverished countries.
The Trust's Head of Midwifery, Sally Sivas said: "The International Day of the Midwife is a great opportunity for our staff to get together and raise funds and awareness for a cause that is naturally very dear to our hearts.
"It's also a lovely way to show our appreciation and recognition of the hard work that all of the maternity staff undertake. Last year the Trust's maternity units welcomed 4,946 babies to the world, with 1,931 babies born at Epsom Hospital and 3,015 babies born at St Helier Hospital, so it's with a great source of pride that we get behind these celebrations."
