Carshalton and Wallington MP, Tom Brake, is urging the Government to reverse the changes to the school admissions code, and to provide proper support to the official complaints body at the Office of the Schools Adjudicator. The school admissions code is in place to ensure admissions to schools are fair and open.

Police are appealing for a female dog walker to come forward after her Staffordshire type dog was reported to have been involved in attacking a Great Dane puppy in Nonsuch Park on Sunday, 27 March.
The dog walker is described as a white female, aged 30-35, tall, of slim build with blonde hair. Her dog is described as a non-castrated, brindled coloured Staffordshire type with a white left paw and ankle. She was reported as walking along by the trees near a London Road entrance to the park at around 10:30am. Both dogs were off the lead. An 18-year-old man who dealt drugs near school gates and in local parks has been issued with a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).
Aiden Stent, aged 18, of Matlock Crescent, Cheam, was issued with the Order, which seeks to restrict his behaviour, at Croydon Crown Court on Friday, 18 March. Police have made extensive enquiries to locate Ball and are now appealing to the public for their help. Ball is known to frequent the Sutton and Croydon areas. Police urge Ball to give himself up and appeal to anyone who knows of his whereabouts to contact police in confidence. Police will arrest and prosecute anyone who is found to be assisting an offender who has committed an arrestable offence. This could involve hiding an offender, assisting an offender in avoiding arrest and lying to police to protect the offender from investigation and prosecution. The maximum sentence for assisting an offender can be up to 10 years imprisonment. If you see Ball, call police on 999 immediately.
