Hosted by resident comedy company, Laughing Coyote, at The Secombe this night will see Jon and three of his best friends perform in aid of York Road Project – a charity tackling homelessness in Surrey.
The Project was started many years ago by a number of passionate individuals offering sandwiches and soup to people ‘sleeping rough’. This developed into a ‘winter watch’ project supported by Shelter and provided emergency accommodation over the winter period (November-February) using various properties loaned by the Council. This developed further by the ‘night watch’ programme operating for a longer period of the year and also offering supported ‘move-on’ accommodation.
Eventually the York Road Project was formed in 2001 and was registered with The Charity Commission. In accommodation leased and refurbished by Woking Borough Council at 1 York Road, the Project now operates services all through the year.
Jon will be bringing the kind of comedy that has had him nominated and winning comedy awards, acclaim and his own documentary series as well as the hearts of Britain’s comedy fans.
Joining Jon are Seann Walsh, Pete Firman and Danny Buckler!
