Refreshments, £3 (£2 for Friends)
The Friends of Sutton Life Centre present a nostalgic comedy, A Prairie Home Companion (cert PG) next Friday, 25 July at 7 pm. It stars Garrison Keillor as himself, Woody Harrelson, Tommy Lee Jones, Meryl Streep and Lily Tomlin. Directed by Robert Altman, the 2006 movie gives an affectionate behind-the-scenes view of a long-running public radio show which dates from the time when radio was king. Now it looks like being cancelled by its new owners, and the film takes place at the show's last performance.

It was a good chance to network and get to know each other better. Many thanks to all who participated.' Now that the elections are over why not treat yourself to a relaxing evening at the movies?
