A boldly original comedy with a multi-roleing cast of three which splices stand up, puppetry, shouty songs, and dancey bits to tell a unique story. Not suitable for people who complain about things. Or kids. Or anyone who wears chinos. We hate chinos.
Fired from the Royal Ballet for being addicted to fictional drug ‘nonce’, Bell tries to drag herself out of the gutter, but that’s much harder when you’re hallucinating evil unicorns. luckily she has her girlfriend Maria, a nun who doesn’t fit in at the convent. When a hot shot young preacher, who hosts tv show ‘Christ Time’, asks for a ‘favour’, the girls lives are thrown into chaos.
Written & Directed by ‘Soho Theatre Young Writer’ Samson Hawkins, Swan Bake is the debut production by Second Sons Theatre Company. The Project was supported by Farnham Maltings’ grant scheme ‘no strings attached’ in association with Unlimited Impact. Which was nice of them.
