"The Citizenship Media Group is a group for young people (aged 12-18) to learn skills and express themselves through film, music, design and photography. In the relaxed and friendly environment of Sutton Life Centre’s Media Room, young people can develop their creative interests in areas that excite them. This can range from contributing towards funded projects, driving a self-directed idea or working with others to collaborate creatively," said a spokesperson.
We are fortunate enough to have access to:
12 iMacs (equipped with the likes of Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut 7, Logic);
HD Cameras;
Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) Cameras;
Dedo Film Lights, and;
Professional Audio Equipment
We’ve produced music videos and short films and idents. We’ve worked with local charities and community groups. To mix things up, we sometimes run one-off photography workshops.
Our main aim is to make videos that encourage citizenship values, and that engage and enrich the local community.The group meets on Tuesday evenings from 5.00-7.00pm and it is free to join.
