What’s in your strangest sandwich? Why don’t earwigs have ears or wigs? Why am I in the back of the car? How many more questions? Answer them and more in this spoken word sandwich full of fun fillings, playful poems and wonderful wordplay with Rachel Sambrooks. With plenty of interactive bits and a chance to choose the order, Rachel’s poems and stories are sometimes funny, sometimes interesting and sometimes just plain silly with quite a lot of joining in.
In fact if you take part in the workshop for this performance, you can be part of a group poem devised that very day! For children aged under 10 and their families.
Rachel is a stand up poet, storyteller, writer and she was Artist in Residence for SPINE Festival 2015
with Apples and Snakes and lives in the Sutton area. ‘The Strangest Sandwich in the World and other
Silly Stuff’ is her first children’s poetry collection.
