The adults all live in a house in The Grove, Sutton, run by care provider Regard, and created art in a variety of mediums to put on display and sell.
Manager James Gwabya said: “We are really trying to build up the confidence of all the individuals at The Grove and the art show was a fantastic way to do that with everyone taking part.
“For many, the most exciting thing was simply the sense of achievement of displaying something they had worked on.
“We had wonderful support from visitors from other Regard services and from the London Borough of Sutton, which meant that a number of pieces of art were sold and it was a day with a real buzz of excitement about the place.”
The Grove accommodates up to nine people with varying conditions such as Learning Disability, Autism, Downs Syndrome and other related conditions. All the people there are supported to live independent lives in the local community.
At the event service users and support staff made cakes and refreshments for those who attended the art show. For information on The Grove call 0800 840 0313.
