A large cast of 28 local actors has been brought together for SADC by Sheila Carr, one of the area’s most experienced and talented directors. Consisting mostly of established actors for the Club but introducing several new faces, the cast is led by Charlie Crowther-Smith and Jon Harris as the two lawyers, who, “like two bull elephants locked in mortal combat”, bellow and roar at each other.
Says director Sheila Carr, “With many funny, gentle and beautiful moments, this is a trial of passion and conviction, where two of America’s most respected lawyers pit their wits and examine their own beliefs and where a town is torn apart in the search for truth and justice. The fact is that many of the arguments remain unresolved and are still being aired and discussed today.”
