Lord Tope has been connected with the arts in the borough for many years and has been responsible for many innovations in the arts in Sutton during his distinguished career as a Sutton councillor.
The former Leader of Sutton Council who retired at the last elections said that he was "absolutely thrilled " to be offered the opportunity to maintain his involvement through ANS.
"This organisation has already shown itself to be a vibrant and innovative group who are committed to ensuring that the arts through various media are well represented and continue to develop. As patron I will do all that I can to ensure ANS is given all of the support that it needs to build on what has been an excellent start. I have no doubt that it will continue to flourish and produce a long and fruitful relationship with the borough."
