The two-month long programme, dubbed ‘Sutton Live’ will bring together acts from diverse genres ranging from jazz to rock and blues.
Performing acts include rising acoustic singer, Jon Hart at Caffè Nero and local rock band, the RPMs at The Sutton Arms.
Other participating venues include TazZa Café, Ivory Lounge and Rift & Co, with performances taking place on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
The new initiative is organised by Enjoy Sutton, the consumer brand of Successful Sutton and is backed by local music school, The Sutton Music Centre.
Mark Allis, director of The Sutton Music Centre said: “It’s great to have the support of venues in Sutton to help promote the live music scene and give local musicians the opportunity to showcase their talents.”
Ross Feeney, CEO of Successful Sutton added: “This is the first initiative of its kind in Sutton and a fantastic opportunity for locals to sample the best in live music at one of the many town centre venues taking part. We hope that
businesses will benefit too as Sutton’s music scene gains momentum over the next two months.”
