The NHS Trust has named Richard Noble currently Vice Chairman of Investment Banking at Nomura International and Head of Natural Resources, Power and Utilities for the EMEA. He is a senior investment banker with more than 20 years experience of advising a broad range of UK and international corporate and government clients on strategic mergers, acquisitions and divestments, finance raisings, restructuring and privatisation work.
He began his career at Price Waterhouse where he qualified as a chartered accountant and lives in Leatherhead.
Trust Chairman, Laurence Newman, said: "We are delighted to announce the appointment of Richard as Non-Executive Director. He brings extensive skills and experience across a broad range of strategic and financial disciplines, and as a local resident takes an active interest in our health service.”
Mr Noble replaces Cherry McCormack who stood down earlier this year.
Mr Noble’s two-year term officially started on 1 June 2014. The remuneration for the Non-Executive Director post is £6,157 per annum. He does not have political or other interests which conflict with the role and responsibilities on the Trust Board and holds no ministerial appointments.
Appointments of all Chairs and Non-Executive Directors to NHS trusts are the responsibility of the NHS Trust Development Authority (NTDA). All appointments made by the NTDA are made on merit and political activity plays no part in the selection process.
