The idea, inspired by ‘The Lonely Bouquet’ initiative set up to spread the joy of flowers and make strangers happy, will involve small bouquets being left around central Sutton to be ‘adopted’ and either taken home or passed on to someone who will appreciate them.
Floristry tutor Terri Rabson said ‘The students are happily entering into the community spirit and are creating these bouquets as part of their Floristry Level 2 course at Sutton College. It’s great to think that they will brighten the days of those that find them and show off the skills learned on our course. We can’t wait to hear where they end up’.
The City & Guilds Level 2 Floristry course enables students to pursue a career in commercial floristry either in a flower shop or if they are thinking of starting their own business.
Bouquets will be left around central Sutton on Saturday 19th March. If you find a bouquet, please let the College know via the Sutton College Facebook or Twitter sites or by email on [email protected]
