Head teacher, David Taylor said “We were absolutely delighted to receive the news that we have been shortlisted for Secondary School of the Year by our highly respected industry publication, the TES. Making the shortlist is a significant achievement; there are over 3000 deserving secondary schools in the UK. This recognition is testament to the efforts of the whole school community – staff, parents, students and governors, and we thank each and every member of our community for their contribution to our success.”
The TES Awards have run since 2009 and, according to the publication, “celebrate the extraordinary commitment, quality and innovation shown by teachers and support staff across the UK. Categories include Secondary School of the Year, Primary School of the Year, healthy school of the year and creative school of the year, along with individual awards for teachers and teaching teams.
The award winners will be announced on June 24th 2016.
