The officers explained that police are there to help them and keep them safe and can be contacted on 999 in an emergency.
They told the children about the importance of patrolling in the High Street to deter criminals and on occasions to reunite lost children with their parents.
Children were then invited to try on police uniforms including helmets, hats, batons and handcuffs.
Headteacher Elisabeth Broers said: "It was brilliant. The children really engaged with the police officers and asked some great questions. The visit fitted in really well with our aim to work with the local community and our learning about the Rule of Law."
