In a statement on the school's website it states:
"The pupils began working towards the Mock Bar Trial just after Christmas and have worked tirelessly, learning a complex legal case and developing their roles as magistrates, lawyers, witnesses, legal adviser and usher respectively.
"It was a closely contested heat with six well-prepared schools in the running; our prosecuting team then went up against the winners of last year’s competition! Both teams performed incredibly well
"Ms Stuart, Miss Hughes and the team waited with baited breath to hear the winners announced; it was a feeling of complete elation when ‘Glenthorne High School’ were called as the winners. The pupils, quite rightly, went to shake the hands of the organisers and to hold the trophy high as deserving victors!
"The pupils will now go on to compete in the regional finals later this year."
