The academy is the result of a partnership arrangement between Building Lives, Sutton Housing Partnership and Sutton Council.
After signing up, learners start on the road into construction when the courses start in March. Beginning with a level one introductory course giving a basic insight into the relevant construction skills required. This is followed up with a work experience placement with one of Building Lives’ many construction partners.
Once the level one course and work experience is complete, the apprenticeship starts and you get to take part in the Building Lives award winning apprenticeship scheme. Splitting time by learning the skills of the trade from the expert tutors at the Sutton Building Lives academy and on site with the professional construction partners on hand.
Anyone is welcome to sign up at www.BuildingLives.uk.com/Registration provided you have the right to work in the UK, are between the ages 16 – 64 and don’t have any previous qualifications. Those 19+ must be claiming JSA. Building Lives have an excellent track record of getting men and women from all backgrounds into stable construction careers.
