Landscape Partnership launched a photographic competition to capture all aspects of the
Wandle Valley across the four Wandle boroughs.
There are four categories to enter, each representing a key aspect of the valley’s rich
diversity: Natural Wandle, Urban Wandle, Wandle Folk and Working Wandle.
The competition is open to amateur photographers of any age, living or working in the in the
boroughs of Wandsworth, Sutton, Merton and Croydon. The winning entries will be
showcased on the new, soon to be relaunched Wandle Valley Regional Park website and
digital archive.
There is a first prize of £600 digital camera voucher generously donated by competition
sponsors Cubiquity Media www.cubiquitymedia.com. Dan Mitchell, Creative Director at
Cubiquity, explained the appeal, “I was brought up in Merton and have enjoyed many a great
day out in the Wandle Valley. We are delighted to support the Wandle Valley on their unique
development journey.”
The closing date for entries is midnight on 16 October. Finalists will be informed after by
email and the awards will be made at the Wandle Valley Regional Park Trust board AGM on
10th December. All images will appear on an online exhibition.
