Sutton Safer Neighbourhoods police officers were out and about in Sutton High Street on Tuesday to remind the public that they have a key role in helping to prevent the threat of terrorism.
More than 500 leaflets were handed out during lunchtime from the borough's CCTV van outside Waterstones.
Officers in Sutton are hoping to hand many thousands of leaflets around the borough during National Counter Terrorism Awareness Week (23-29 November).
The Met Police is urging the public that if they see or hear something that could be terrorist related, to trust their instincts and call the confidential anti-terrorist hotline on: 0800 789 321.
