Police carried out a drugs warrant at a second floor flat in Brighton Road, Sutton, this morning.
Officers forced entry to the address and found 35 small bags of suspected cannabis under a bed.
A man, aged 24, who was inside the premises at the time, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. He is being questioned at a South London police station.
The officers were acting on information from the local community.
Sgt Paul Cole, of Sutton South Safer Neighbourhoods Team, said: “We always encourage people to tell us if they have any information about drugs activities in their neighbourhood. We take all such reports seriously and will take an appropriate course of action.
“In this case, that course of action involved carrying out a search warrant at the address. We will do everything we can to stop and disrupt drugs activities in Sutton borough.”
