A man, aged 38, who was inside the address, was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis, possession of cannabis, abstraction of electricity and failing to appear at court for a public order offence.
He was taken to a South London police station. Enquiries are continuing.
The operation was led by PC James Lilley, of Wallington North Safer Neighbourhoods Team.
Wallington North SNT Sgt David Moth said police in Sutton want local residents to report drugs activities in their neighbourhoods.
"Once again, police officers have shown that they take all reports from members of the public seriously and act on that information. On this occasion, the police and public working together in this way has stopped many thousands of pounds worth of drugs from hitting the streets and circulating within local communities," said Sgt Moth.
Tips to help you spot a cannabis factory include:
* comings and goings of occupiers at odd times of the day and night
* deliveries of items like plants and fertilizer
* curtains closed permanently to hide the blazing lights required to grow the
plants
* distinctive smells emanating from the property.
