Police officers from three Safer Neighbourhoods Teams were treated to a very special thank you for keeping the area safe by Carshalton Baptist Church, in Strawberry Lane on Wednesday, 6 January.
As they entered the church hall, the officers from Wandle Valley, St Helier and The Wrythe were met by a colourful, 'tea at the Ritz' type spread of neatly cut finger-sized sandwiches, meticulously decorated cakes and delicacies on tiered stands and freshly prepared jam and scones.

Carshalton Baptist Church said it was their way of saying thank you to the officers for their work in policing the local community.
Rev Augustus Luke, said: "The officers do such great work. They leave their families to put themselves in the front line every day to make a difference and help keep us safe.
"As a Church, it's one of our duties to look after our community - including those people that provide a great service - and support them in the best way we can.
"For us it is about being part of the community and not just a building that people come to on a Sunday."
Lynn Carpenter, who led the Church team which provided the refreshments, said: "They have such difficult jobs and we are lucky to have such good officers."
Sgt Jon Eames, of The Wrythe SNT, thanked the Church. He said: "We join this job to help people and it's really nice to know that you appreciate what we do. It's very heartening and encouraging," he said.
