Jordan Watson-Brown opened the scoring after only five minutes with his first goal of the season as he ran clear from Aidan Brown’s through-ball and slotted past the keeper. Elliot Anderson then rose highest from Dylan Burke-Hamilton’s free-kick but headed over the bar before Jack Strange saw his volley saved, but in the 21st minute Sutton doubled their lead when Darnell Austin curled into the top corner from the left hand edge of the penalty area.
Brown’s determined work then saw him in a position to square the ball to Watson-Brown who’s touch outside found Anderson in space and he scored his first goal in Sutton colours by firing low into the bottom corner. Reid and Anderson combined late in the game to find Brown in the area and he laid the ball back to Seyi Aka-Bashorun who scored his first goal for Sutton by firing low and hard past the keeper, and in the final moments of the game, Dinos Kalognomas switched play from left to right allowing Watson-Brown to beat the full-back and square to Brown whose touch nestled neatly inside the far post.
