"Again we had to be very patient with this signing. Dan enjoyed an outstanding season playing in the Conference last year, and was hoping to play at the same level or higher. We watched him many times last year and made him aware of our interest after his release. Dan rightly wanted to see what his options were, but having seen Craig and Stuart sign recently, he's now happy to sign a two-year deal. He shares the vision we all have at the club, and we are really pleased to have signed him."
Dan is equally comfortable playing as a right or left back, and offers great competition to Kevin Amankwah and Callum Hart. One player departing the club is Bedsente Gomis, the supporters player of the year.
"Bedsi rang me Friday to say that, for family reasons, he wanted to remain in France with his wife and young baby and, of course, we totally respect his decision. With Shaun Cooper wanting to play his preferred midfield role, and Glen Southam, Mickey Spillane and Craig Dundas, we still have real competition in the central midfield areas and are happy with the midfield we now have. Billy Medlock is close to signing for another club, so we have now completed the squad to start pre-season."
