Goals from Francois Gabbidon and Richie Smith gave Sutton Common Rovers first team their first ever league win against Camberley Town, writes Gary Brigden
In a well contested game, goals in the final twenty minutes was enough to secure all three points. We had gone close in the first half, when Gabbidon was denied by the ever excellent Craig Bradshaw, and Camberley's Matt Bunyan headed over.
Camberley's Bobby Dormer saw red shortly before the break for a mistimed challenge on Andrew White, and we took advantage (eventually). The pleasing thing was the effort and commitment of the lads, with bodies being thrown in front of shots, and challenges made across the park.
