Sutton Common Rovers first team picked up their first points of the season last night, writes Gary Bigden
A late Francois Gabbidon strike helped the firsts to a 2-2 draw in an exciting encounter away at Bedfont Sports on Tuesday night.
Darren Salmon rung the changes ahead of the game, with Ray Whyard and Sam Blowers handed debuts, whilst their was a first appearance of the campaign for Aaron Bogle.
We struck first through Andrew White midway through the first half, before two early second half goals looked to have given our hosts the points.
When Martin Weighill crashed one against the bar, and Gabbidon saw an effort superbly saved by the keeper, it looked like curtains for us, but with seven minutes to go, Gabbidon poked home a Liam Holden corner for a share of the spoils.
