Sutton's reserves, whose game against Tring Athletic was postponed today, have had their defence of the Suburban League Cup ended after being found guilty of fielding an ineligible player in the second leg of the first round tie against Westfield. Steven Ibizugbe played 63 minutes of the game but was still registered with Crowborough despite having left the Sussex side without playing for them. Sutton went in to the second leg, which they won 6-1, with a 9-0 lead from the first leg, over which there is no dispute, and are considering an appeal against the decision to award the tie to Westfield.
