Paul learnt to play rugby from the age of five at Sutton & Epsom, for whom he played at every level from mini, junior and eventually the 1st XV. It was clear to all then that Paul’s talents would take him on to much higher levels within the game, and that was certainly true, as he went on to make over 200 Premiership appearances for London Irish, as well as many more for Bristol and Worcester Warriors.
Paul also reached the pinnacle of the domestic game by picking up nine England caps as well as captaining the England Saxons, and representing England at 7s.
Commenting on the return, Paul said, “Although the game of Rugby has taken me to so many great places, you only ever have one ‘First Club’ and Sutton & Epsom is mine. Being here was a huge part of mine and my families life growing up, and I cannot wait to get back in the mix with the current set-up.”
