"Higgs, who has spent the past two seasons on dual registration between us and the Kent club, signed a contract at Hayes Lane this week," said a spokesperson.
"But the 18-year old said he’ll be forever grateful to the support and encouragement he received during his time as a Robin."
“My time at Carshalton has been helpful and I have developed as both a player and a person,” he said. “I feel I’ve learnt how to be patient when I wasn’t always in the team and I added goals to my game this last season.”
Bromley manager Neil Smith has been quoted as saying Higgs won’t be there “to make up the numbers … (he) will be challenging for a starting eleven place”.
“I was having discussions with the manager towards the end of last season and wasn’t sure what kind of contract I might be offered, if any,” Higgs added.
“But I was delighted to sign full-time and I'm looking forward to challenging for a first-team place."
'Higgsy' made over 80 appearances for us during his tenure and chipped in with nine goals, eight of which came last season including a brace against Hastings United. He also scooped three end of season awards, including Managers' Player of the Year last season, during his time at Colston Avenue.
