Chief Executive David Bradley said: “We are delighted to welcome Vanessa to the Trust. Her skills and experience will be indispensable in taking our organisation into the next stage of its journey. She is a highly motivated clinician with a reputation for driving positive change and I am sure she will make a fantastic contribution to the leadership team and to the Board.”
To coincide with International Nurses Day, The Trust is also celebrating the 736 nurses who provide the incredible care to our mental health patients. This year’s theme is Nurses: A Force for Change: Improving health systems' resilience.
On International Nurses Day, Vanessa Ford said “Our nurses are the backbone of mental health patient care. The increase in demand for mental health services means they are constantly adapting their skills to meet the changing needs of society.
“Nurses play a vital role and are often the unsung heroes that follow a patient on their journey from beginning to recovery. We want to acknowledge and thank the nurses who are always taking care of others.”
