Subject to due diligence and final contractual negotiations we expect that NEL CSU will start providing the GP and CCG IT services in Sutton from 1 August 2016.
Sutton CCG tendered for a new IT provider alongside neighbouring CCGs (Merton and Wandsworth) to achieve better value for money through economies of scale and to collaborate on the procurement process to make best use of resources
During the procurement process, NEL CSU demonstrated that they were focussed on delivering high quality IT services for local GPs and health staff, as well as offering the best value for money.
Dr Chris Elliott Chief Clinical Officer, Sutton CCG said, "Our priority is to commission a high quality IT service that will meet the needs of our GPs and CCG staff, enabling them to work efficiently to deliver high quality health services for people living in Sutton. We also want to make sure that the service delivers good value for money.
"NEL CSU demonstrated their focus on high quality service provision and customer service during the procurement process and we were impressed with their operating model which aims to resolve a high proportion of faults on first contact, leading to quick resolution of issues and high customer satisfaction scores. We look forward to working with them in the future."
