The group are hosting an event at the Secombe Theatre in Sutton on 20th April 2015 to increase knowledge and promote engagement with local communities and amongst the health and social care workforce.
'Don't Leave Me Now' documents the lives of two families affected by young onset dementia. Rachael Dixey cared for her partner for seven years and Cindy Toulman visited her husband in his care home for ten years. The playwright, Brian Daniels, was inspired to write the play after reading Rachael Dixey's diaries.
There will be two performed playreadings of 'Don't Leave Me Now' on 20th April, at 2.30pm and 6.30pm. This event has been funded by Health Education South London. Admission is free. Tickets are available from the Secombe Theatre Box Office (020 8770 6990) or on-line at http://www.suttontheatres.co.uk/
