Most Sutton practices are looking to recruit patients, registered at their practice, to join their Patient Participation Group.
Members of patient groups have the opportunity, to work with the practice, to give the patient perspective and contribute to decisions that affect the patient experience at the surgery.
Belonging to a patient group need not be a huge commitment, most meet about 4 – 6 times a year but would, hopefully, welcome greater input if you have more time to spare. Maybe you have underutilised skills that could help the group with Chairing, minute taking, helping to gather views from other patients, maybe contribute text for practice websites or a newsletter?
You don’t have to be a frequent user of the service just the ability to be objective and have empathy with those that do.
If you are interested, in finding out more about the patient group at your GP practice, contact staff at the surgery.
