Supported by Sutton South Safer Neighbourhoods policing team, the monthly venture is being called 'Men Allowed' and started on Wednesday, 27 January at Christ Church Hall, Christchurch Park, Sutton.
The activities include darts, cards, cribbage, dominoes, chess and miniature snooker as well as popping in for a good chat.
PC Mark Towler, of Sutton South Safer Neighbourhoods Team, commented: "Police work doesn't just involve catching criminals and deterring crime. It's also about keeping people safe and looking after older people who can become lonely, isolated and vulnerable. Sutton South Hello offer lots of fun activities and we are keen to support them in this new initiative."
Men Allowed will meet on the last Wednesday of every month between 2-4pm. The entrance fee of 50p includes tea or coffee and biscuits.
Christ Church Hall is where the Hello Wednesday Club meets weekly and welcomes older people who want to share friendly company.
