The Adult Social Services, Housing and Health Grants (ASSHH grants)
are small grants to a maximum of £500 are available for work in the London borough of Sutton that supports the funding criteria.

Voluntary organisations who wish to be considered for funding from the Adult Social Services Housing & Health Small Grants Budget should meet the following criteria:
a. The service offered must benefit the residents of the London Borough of Sutton.
b. As far as possible the office of the organisation should be based in the London Borough of Sutton.
c. Some form of governing documentation e.g. constitution, terms of reference, aims and objectives etc., must be submitted.
d. The maximum grant that can be applied for in a financial year is £500.
e. Organisations must provide evidence of contribution to one of the ASSHH priority groups:
Self-help, user led groups providing information, advice and mutual support to either
Adults with Physical and Sensory Disabilities
Older people
Adults with learning disabilities
Adults with mental health needs
Carers
f. Organisations must provide evidence of contribution to the council’s vision for Safer, Fairer, Greener and Smarter working and promoting Health & Well being.
g. Organisations must provide evidence of the number of people who will benefit from the grant.
h. Financial need for the grant must be demonstrated. Exceptions will be made for grants received in advance, equipment not yet purchased, and monies set aside for future developments.
i. User and carer involvement in the organisation’s operation and decision-making processes needs to be demonstrated.
j. Proof of Public Liability Insurance for staff, volunteers and/or property/equipment must be evident.
k. The organisation must have an Equal Opportunities Policy Statement or agree to adhere to LBS Policies.
